Ex-Laddonian Dies At Age 92.

LADDONIA-- Services for John L. Plante, 92, formerly of Laddonia, will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Bienhoff Funeral Home, Laddonia, with his grandson, the Rev. Ronald Beedle, officiating. Burial will in the Laddonia Cemetery.

The family will receive friends today from 6:30-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Serving as pallbearers were Virgil Girard, Marvin Girard, Lary Girard, Darin Beedle, Edwin Slavens and Floyd Britton.

He died Tuesday at 12:20 p.m. at Monroe Manor Nursing Home, where he had lived since September 1982.

Mr. Plante was born Feb. 20, 1893, in Illinois, the son of George and Mary Virginia Blanchard Plante of Herscher, Ill. He was married in 1916 to Sarah Florence Slavens, who preceded him in death on Nov. 16, 1971. He and Pearl Kimey were married on Sept. 1, 1973. She died March 26, 1983.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Alma Beedle, Auxvasse; one stepdaughter, Wanda Brandenburger, Bowling Green; one half-brother, Fred Girard of Farber; two grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Mr. Plante was a large landowner and farmer on Highway 54. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Mexico.

The family requests memorials to the Love Outreach Ministries of Auxvasse.
