Albert Rader has received word of the death of John Slavens of Washington Court House, Ohio, who was shot. He was a railroad detective and was in the act of arresting three train riders when one of them pulled a gun and shot him through the heart. A 19-year old boy has confessed to the crime. Mr. Slavens leaves two small children.
