Mrs. Maggie Slavens LaFoe, wife of James LaFoe, died in Oakdale Sanitarium, Iowa, from tuberculosis on Thursday. She is survived by a husband, son, parents, and six brothers. She was the daughter of William and Adeline Slavens and was born in Oklahoma City, April 24, 1891. When she was quite young her parents moved to Hendricks County. She and James LaFoe were married September 12, 1912 and to them was born a son, Maurice Wilbern. In the fall of 1914 they moved to Waukee, Iowa. At the age of thirteen she joined the Christian church at Montclair. The funeral was Friday from the Christian church at Waukee and the internment was in the Waukee cemetery.
