MRS. MARGARET SLAVEN.
Mother of the Rev. W. H. Slaven Passed Away Last Night.

At the family residence, 117 Conkling avenue, about 11 o'clock last night, occurred the death of Margaret McCormick, widow of Matthew Slaven. For some time past Mrs. Slaven had been afflicted with a form of heart trouble and her death was not entirely unexpected. Up until 10 years ago Mrs. Slaven had resided in Rochester. At that time she came to Utica, where she had since resided.

Mrs. Slaven was a kind, motherly woman and her chief interest in life was in her home and in her family. She possessed a wide acquaintance, both in this city and Rochester, and the announcement of her death will cause profound regret. Her only daughter, Minnie, died suddenly two years ago, but she is survived by three sons, the Rev. W.H. Slaven of Whitesboro, Francis E. Slaven and Mathew J. Slaven of 117 Conkling avenue.
