Mrs. Mary Slavens, wife of Morton Slavens, who lives east of Clinton Falls, died at her home Wednesday morning at 9:15 o'clock. She suffered a stroke of appoplexy two weeks ago and Monday evening suffered a second, which caused her death. She was 58 years old. She leaves a husband; one son, Homer, of Clinton township, six brothers and three sisters. No funeral arrangements have yet been made.
