Death Summons Mary Slavin, Old Resident.

Had Spent Practically All Her Life in Muscatine - Funeral Sunday.

Muscatine, Iowa, March 27-- Mrs. Mary Slavin, widow of Edward Slavin and a resident of Muscatine nearly all her life, passed away yesterday afernoon at 3 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. R.C. Zoller, 600 Sycamore street. Death was due to the infirmaties of age.

She was born February 14, 1847 in Louisa county and at an early age came to Muscatine with her parents. Fifty-seven years ago she was united in marriage to Edward Slavin, whose death occurred in 1916. Five children were born to this union.

The survivors are Mrs. George See of Spokane, Wash., Mrs. E.N. Van Duser of Rome, New York, and Edward Slavin and Mrs. R.C. Zoller of Muscatine, and one sister, Mrs. Hester Clark of Muscatine. Mrs. Slavin was a member of the Trinity Episcopal church and the Banner lodge, Degree of Honor.

Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the home of Mrs. Zoller, with burial in Greenwood cemetery.
