Michael C. Slavin died at his home in Chicago Saturday very suddenly. The deceased was in his boyhood days a resident of McHenry county, being a brother of the late James H. Slavin. The decedent was on the Chicago police force for thirty years, being retired on a pension about three years ago. His parents owned and resided on the farm now owned by Daniel Hereley in Alden. The funeral services were held at St. Malacby's Catholic church, Chicago, Tuesday morning and the remains were brought to Woodstock and interred in the Catholic cemetery there.
