Slavin-- Gainesville, Tex., Feb. 25-- Mrs. E.C. Slavin, aged 80 years, died at her home on Chestnut street from a stroke of paralysis, from which she had suffered several days. Mrs. Slavin was a native of Tennessee, but had lived in Texas, near Whitesboro, sixty years, being one of the first settlers in this part of the state. The funeral was held at Whitesboro.
