Patrick Slavin died of pneumonia on Wednesday evening, Jan. 6, at his home in Ivesdale. He was a prominent citizen of that place and was a prominent democratic politician of Champaign county. During the administration of President Cleveland, he was the postmaster at Ivesdale and since then has been engaged in the general merchandise business. Mr. Slavin was 35 years old and leaves a widow and four children to mourn his loss. He was well- acquainted in this city and had many warm personal friends here. His funeral will take place this morning at Ivesdale.
