Mrs. Sarah Plante Dies; Rites Friday.

BENTON CITY-- Mrs. Sarah Plante, 76, Rte. 1, Benton City, died Wednesday at the Audrain Medical Center after an illness. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Laddonia Baptist Church with the Rev. Cleo Sexton, pastor, officiating.

Mrs. Plante was born April 4, 1895, to Mr. and Mrs. Thomas J. Slavens. She was married to John Plante Feb. 23, 1915. The couple had lived in the Laddonia area for several years before moving to the farm on the Benton City Route.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Alma Beedle, Auxvasse; two grandchildren, Ronald and Bonnie Beedle, Auxvasse; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Anna Gilbert, Laddonia, and a brother, Dean Slavens, Farber.

Visitation hours are from 7-9 tonight at Wilkey-Bienhoff funeral home in Laddonia, and burial will be in the Laddonia Cemetery.
