William Slavin, aged 50 years, left his home at No. 111 Wyckoff st., on Saturday night, while under the influence of liquor, and made his way to Francis McCarthy's apartments on the third story of No. 121 same street, where he went for the purpose of borrowing a small sum of money. On leaving the place he fell down two flights of stairs and was picked up insensible. On his removal to St. Peters Hospital by Ambulance Surgeon Hatch, it was found that he had sustained a fracture of the skull; and in spite of careful medical attention he died yesterday from the effects of his injuries. Coroner Keller will hold an inquest this afternoon.
