Kate Slavin was employed by Mrs. T.O. Lynch, at 182 Eighth street, as a servant, some time since. She was a married woman with three children. Her husband had no visible means of support and drank to excess. Mrs. Slavin was arrested yesterday by Detective Stollsworthy, who charged her with having stolen a pair of bracelets, valued at $41, from her mistress. She had pawned the jewelry, she claimed, to procure money to pay the rent, which was in arrears.
