About a week ago a man named Patrick Slaven, while walking across South 7th st., was knocked down by a coal cart driven by a man named Adam Titt. Slaven was badly injured and several days elapsed before he could get out. Yesterday he appeared before Justice Colahan and preferred a charge of assualt and battery against Titt, who has been arrested and gave bonds to appear and answer the charge.
