Edward Slavin, a young man who boarded at No. 392 Bushwick avenue, last night returned to his lodgings quite oblivious to things mundane. This was in consequence of an overindulgence in potables. After gaining admission to the house Slavin made his way toward his room on the third floor, but instead of proceeding thereto, entered the sleeping compartment of his landlady's daughter. The young woman alleges that Slavin made indecent proposals to her, at which she raised an alarm and caused the arrest of the offender. Justice Eames, upon the evidence adduced to-day, sentenced the accused to the Penitentiary for three months.
